Indica India Pale Ale
Grapefruit along with other light citrus and floral hops, bready malts.
Poured from their 12oz bottle…
Appearance – Pours about a finger of yellow eggshell head, body is a gorgeous slightly hazy orange amber, the head diminishes quickly and leaves some trace lacing.
Smell – Grapefruit along with other light citrus and floral hops, bready malts.
Taste – Starts with light citrus and lots of floral hop flavors, quickly followed by lots of bready and some light malts, just slightly sweet at the center, finished with slightly sweet bread and malts, with just a touch of grapefruit pith long into the finish. traces of sweet malt are left in the mouth corners.
Mouthfeel – Lighter side of medium, slightly slick, almost medium carb is extremely smooth, no edges, and makes for an overall silky smooth mouthfeel, which is super easy to drink and very refreshing and quenching.
Overall – I really like this beer, although this drinks and tastes much more like a fuller flavored APA to me – the IPA label is a bit of a stretch. But like I said, the flavors are really nice and full, and really well balanced. A few of these on a warm evening would be perfect.
